My Mum used to sew a lot as I was little, she made dresses for herself and made me one from the same fabric... I was so proud! I used to clean my Mum's sewing machine with that tiny brush and loved it! But I never took up sewing myself until 2013 when I decided to make something creative again.
So how did I get to sew quilts?
My husband and I went on our belated honeymoon to America in May 2013!
And this is where I walked into 'Mimi's Quilt Shop' in the middle of the desert, Joshua Tree, and seen and touched a quilt for the first time and was hooked!
I bought lot's of books - Modern Minimal by Alissa Haight Carlton and 'Quilting Modern' by Jacquie Gering and Katie Petersen ... along others. I bought a sewing machine as we came back from the honeymoon (not before we stopped by 'Sew Modern' in LA where I bought tons of fabric!) and I'm sewing ever since.
I have joined Craftsy, following lot's of blogs and taught myself how to quilt.
